Halq (Shaving) - The Best Choice
Completely shaving the head is the most recommended and virtuous act for men, as the Prophet (ﷺ) did.
Taqsir (trimming) — an alternative
If you choose to trim your hair, make sure it is shortened evenly from all parts of your head.
Once your hair is cut, you are out of the state of Ihram. All restrictions that applied are now lifted.
There are many barbershops around Masjid al-Haram. Choose a clean and hygienic place.
You can perform this ritual yourself or ask someone else to do it for you.

🤲 Du'as after Completion
رَبَّنَا تَقَبَّلْ مِنَّا إِنَّكَ أَنتَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ
Rabbana taqabbal minna innaka anta as-Samee'u al-'Aleem
Our Lord, accept from us. Verily, You are the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.
اللَّهُمَّ بَلِّغْنِي حَجَّ بَيْتِكَ الْحَرَامِ
Allahumma ballighni hajja baytika al-haram
O Allah, let me reach the Hajj to Your Sacred House.
- Perform extra prayers in the Haram mosque
- Drink Zamzam water with du'a
- Visit the Prophet's Mosque in Medina (if possible)
- Give sadaqah as thanks to Allah
- Maintain this spiritual state in your daily life
